And he delivered the goods during their derby clash against Tottenham Hotspur, keeping Harry Kane at bay.

Though Gunners threats packed quite a powerful punch, they hung on the ropes in their backline.

Papastathopoulos, who was one of the players scooped up by Arsenal during the club’s last summer raid, is contracted at the north London side until 2021.

It is two years left for the former Borussia Dortmund man in the books, nonetheless, the 30-year-old has knocked out rumours suggesting he could remain in the outfit.

Sokratis has racked up a total appearance tally of 26 in all competitions for Arsenal, and has scored twice this season. But Arsenal fans won’t find his exit by that time hard to stomach.

He told Kicker, according to Calciomercato “In the summer I will be 31, I have two years of contract with Arsenal, then I would like to play in the US or in Asia…Greece, in the team of my city.”
